A store's year is won on 5 dates

A store does not sell evenly: it sells in peaks. Most stores' problem is not the product — it is reaching each peak with no campaign, no stock plan and no heads-up to their people.

The 5 dates

Back to school (Feb–Mar), Hot Sale (May), Mother's Day (October), Black Friday (late November) and Christmas & Epiphany (Dec–Jan). Most of a local store's yearly revenue concentrates in these five. Each needs its angle: starter bundles, shipping and installments at the online peak, gift guides by price on gift dates, and a real countdown — only with stock that exists — on Black Friday.

The typical mistake

Advertising the whole catalogue, all year, with the same finite budget. The result: money dilutes in the slow months and runs short in the strong ones, right when each inquiry is worth the most. Nobody buys a catalogue: they buy a product, at a moment.

How Growty works it

Budget concentrates on the peaks and is planted 2 weeks before each date, with the trade's angle already thought through. Between peaks, the job is cheap remarketing to people who already looked. And every date closes with its number in the garden report: what each inquiry cost, so next year's starts knowing.
